Re-brand

Re-brand

The brand was tired & old fashioned, so in 2013 I was commissioned to design a new logo. For the rebrand, I drew upon the pubs time-honoured heritage as a basis, to ensure its identity was maintained whilst increasing mass appeal. With this in mind, I re-created the original crest from a royal document, in outline form to give it a more modern feel. The new logo type was inspired by wrought iron, since part of the pub was originally the local blacksmith’s workshop.

I took all the promotional photos & settled on using black & white, to lend class & nostalgia. Accenting with the use of lime green gives the black & white photos a contemporary twist, whilst evoking thoughts of it's beautiful rural setting. This creates a unique brand identity with a hint of fun!

Part of the re-brand was to create other marketing collateral including a new food menu, drinks menu, beer mats, business cards & more, bringing the brand across all customer touch points.

'Occasions' brochure

Part of the core business of the pub was hiring out the rooms for events. I was asked to create a brochure to showcase the services available. As well as the design & layout, I took all the photos & worked closely with the manager to write the copy to convey all the relevant information. This helped to secure new bookings & increase revenue.
